Janissary band and choir
Janissary junior band, Ten Sing (Gospel) and "first drumset"

Playing in a janissary band still continued as an important part of my life after converting to a "Nesbu" became inevitable.

During my periode of time in the janissary junior band I got experience from playing both the snare drum and the bass drum. At the same time I was able to acquire some knowledge of reading notes, but to be taken notice of; on borrowed equipment.

Then, in the eight grade I bought my first drumset - an almost new TAMA Royale Star along with Paiste cymbals (Dixie).....NOK 3000,-

Life, up to that point, suddenly took a sharp turn to the right, and daily hammering on the drums almost killed my parents.

Besides casual practice with various local rock-bands, from where I got my first taste for "Santana" (Thanks to the nimble-fingered guitar player; "Eriksen") several years was spent in the local gospel choir; Ten Sing.

In such a choir you were able to practise creative ensemble, AND not least activated the emotional senses for the opposite sex.....
