My "career" as a drummer started in the late 60's (1968 to be precise), when The Beatles released the single record "Hey Jude".

The tune that actually turned me on, and which really pulled the rhythmic trigger inside me was "Revolution".

As a counterweight to the "hairy pop", a norwegian record for children, made by Arne Bendixen ("Alle tiders barneplate" ), was bought along with a "Lenco" record player, which could be connected to the radio.

Equipped with mom's best fruitknives, a great deal of my childhood was spent on drumming at everything that sounded tough; slightly accompanied by the "FAB 4 " and a burring "Davy Crocket".

All the wear and tear at the inventory finally made me become a member of the "Dokka janissary band", by which I played in the drill and drummers ensemble - and not least; a lot of good looking girls - and particularly one person I had in mind alle the time; "Hege"

During that period, I actually tested a "real" drumset for the first time by borrowing and putting together a bassdrum along with a pedal, one cymbal and a snare drum (wow - nevertheless a good start,,,)

During a visit to Trygve Rønningens brother (Yes - the guy from TV), I was able to get a glance of what you could make from some cardboard boxes to achieve a pretty peculiar variety of a drumset.
